A Rustic Barn Wedding on a Working Farm in Lancashire
Bridal Prep
Andrea & Antony got married on Saturday at their local church, followed by an epic celebration in their very own wedding barn on their farm. My day started with me nearly having a heart attack as I joined the girls for bridal prep.. I was taking photos of Andrea’s stunning dress which was hung in the window when it suddenly started moving on its own and a white cat popped out from underneath the skirt!!
The Barn
Next I headed over to the barn to capture some images of it all set up before any guests arrived later.. I fell in love! The couple had done the barn up from scratch themselves and turned a space that was once used for storage of vehicles etc into the most stunning space perfect for their rustic-vibe wedding! I then headed back to join the girls, in time for Andrea putting on her stunning dress..it had amazing bead detailing across the back and she looked absolutely incredible.
The Ceremony
Next it was on to the church to get married! The ceremony was lovely, and the heavens opened just as we were leaving the church (the spell has finally been been broken!) the couple drove to the barn in their classic Landrover Defender - what a dream, and then the party started!
The Party
After a couple of group shots and an epic confetti shot (I think a stationary confetti shot rather than a line may actually be my new favourite now…wow!!!) the Celtic folk band started. As the bar flowed, the hog roasted and the music played, the guests were either wrapped in warm blankets chatting on hay bales or up and dancing. After cutting their gorgeous cake, topped with a tractor and hay bales, it was onto the couple’s first dance. What a fabulous atmosphere, a dream wedding! A huge congratulations to Andrea and Antony (who should also be so proud of themselves for organising and pulling together the whole thing by themselves, amazing 🤎)
